Designing Your Webcast
Step 1: Choose a Live Webcast Strategy
First, choose your webcast strategy. Video or Audio? Slides synchronized or unsynchronized? Or just stand-alone sound? Your best choice depends on your event and your goals.
All live webcasting services are deliverable in RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, or both. We'll help you make the right choice.
- Streaming Video with Synchronized Slides
A streaming video webcast unites the message with the messenger, for maximum impact. For the audience, participating by streaming video webcast comes closest to being there. Viewers experience the power and credibility of your presenters, and visual nuance of the message.
While your presenter speaks, we synchronize the slides, either on location or remotely (for live video events, however, we strongly recommend onsite management). When your webcast is archived for on-demand use after the live event, the slides remain synchronized with the presenter's flow. They are also indexed allowing post-event users to target specific parts of the presentation.
- Webcast with Video Only
Video webcasting unites the message with the messenger, for maximum impact. For the audience, participating by video webcast comes closest to being there. Viewers experience the power and credibility of your presenters, and visual nuance of the message. This format is "pure" video - slides are not used.
- Streaming Audio with Synchronized Slides
An Audio webcast is a virtual presentation streamed to the desktops of a potentially unlimited web audience. A synchronized slide presentation adds a visual dimension to your event, harmonizing the spoken and written word for maximum message retention.
While your presenter speaks, we synchronize the slides, either on location or remotely. If your webcast is archived for on-demand use after the event, the slides remain synchronized with the presenter's flow. They are also indexed allowing post-event users to target specific parts of the presentation.
- Streaming Audio Only
An Audio webcast is a virtual presentation streamed to the desktops of a potentially unlimited web audience. This "no frills" format runs without accompanying slides. Users see a still image in the webcast player window. While impact may be limited, depending on your needs, the advantage is a very low cost.
